Michael Carter Landscape Design and Construction, following a competitive tender, created a substantial garden scheme at this block of flats, which overlooks the Little Venice Basin on the Regents Canal.
The site is a difficult North-facing one between the block and the road – below pavement level – which presented a number of challenges.
The firm planned, landscaped, prepared and planted the whole length of the block in late 1999. The results have given great satisfaction to our gardening committee.
In all our dealings with the firm we have found them thoroughly professional – competent, honest and pleasant to deal with while delivering to time specification and budget.
Despite substantial digging and stone cutting work, together with deliveries of loads of soil and fertiliser, Michael Carter and his cheerfully competent team maintained good relations with our residents and kept the area tidy so that there were no complaints during the construction phase.
Since then, all commitments have been fully met without any quibbles and we have no hesitation in recommending the firm to others.

Michael Carter carried out a landscaping project for me in 1999. The project involved clearing my front and rear gardens and replacing both with new designs.

When I asked Michael Carter to assist me in a major reconstruction of my garden area I had no real ideas other than the fact that I wanted a largely maintenance free lawn (preferably of bowling green character), and child proof borders.
Whilst his initial plan was a little too ambitious for my tastes, it nonetheless provided some ideas that had not considered, and when we agreed a final version, Michael was helpful in outlining very clearly what was involved.
When work started I was clear at all times as to what should be expected (skips, deliveries, noise etc.), and not withstanding the fickle nature of our climate, progress was rapid.
